I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
